Dragging yourself out of bed at 7 a.m. on a Saturday morning is almost never a pleasant experience. Except perhaps when you have a flight to catch (and even then it can be downright annoying at first). That’s right, we were off to Liverpool for the day. The intention was to see Liverpool FC take on Charlton Athletic at Anfield and perhaps take in a bit of the city as well.

Drama, tension, goals, and a delicious Italian meal. Do short weekend breaks get any better? Yes, my Father and I travelled to Liverpool for a Premier League match at Anfield. Our seats were right in the middle and therefore the perfect place from which to look on as Czech Striker Milan Baros scored a hatrick and Liverpool earned a closely fought 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.
