On the 1st of August I will embark on the biggest adventure of my life – a circumnavigation of the world that will take 2 months and see me travelling 43,000 miles through 16 countries and across 4 different continents. It really will be on a different scale to anything i’ve done before, both in terms of duration, mileage and challenge.
It’s only a few weeks until i’ll be jetting off to South America – something i’ve dreamed of doing since I was a very young child. It’s very exciting. Unrelated, I bumped into Caroline outside Queens today, and she wasn’t alone. Yes, covertly hidden away in her coat was a puppy! She introduced us and we talked for a bit. It’s always nice to bump into friends unexpectedly.
And old fire burning in an old pub in the old backwaters of old County Down. All the while, discussions taking place on grand future plans soon to come to fruition. A pleasant lunch was then served as we chewed the fat some more. Oh, and it was also my Father’s Birthday, but I believe he probably paid. Yes, we are truly great sons.
