Waking up to the view of an overcast Victoria Harbour from Mt. Davis on Hong Kong Island, there was a certain appreciation but also perplexion on how to waddle away the showery hours ahead. Top of the agenda was retaining my indispensable passport from the guys at the Indian Consulate in Admiralty, hopefully with a visa of the said country gleaming brightly from inside.

My degree classification finally came today, and I’m happy enough. Furthermore, given the events of the past few days, I appreciated even more intensely the people there to celebrate such a moment with me. We headed to the old Post Office for afternoon hot drinks and cakes, and afterwards, the cinema. Not that it matters, but we saw the Hulk – and it was hardly a classic.

Attempting to recover from jet lag, I lie in a little. When I do get up, I soon discover that my hostel is inhabited solely by smarmy college beach types. I try to escape and find myself wandering across the road and into in a typical American style bar complete with pool table, movie star photographs, jazz music and Cartoon Network. Later, my destination is San Diego Zoo.

Yeah, so I went to see “Along came Polly” with Andrea, Caroline and Allan on Friday evening. Not a bad movie, but not a very good one either, truth be told. The company was nice though, and as you can see from the photographs below, much shenanegannery took place – as we Northern Ireland folk like to say. Or maybe that’s just me.

Steve, Jemma, Amanda and I bought tickets for the Royal Tenenbaums but snuck into Blade 2 instead, being the insane rebels that we are. Probably not the best idea, seeing how average Blade II was, but it was just some good fun, and great to hang out. The above thumbnail is obviously not my own, while the ticket stub below definitely is.
