It might have been a bad weekend if I had let the seething hot temperatures of Sunday or the heavy contingent of scumbags get to me. The music, however, was redeeming. Interpol’s performance was by a mile – the most stunning performance I (and probably most of Ireland) have ever had the privilege of witnessing.

You might be wondering why I only have one photo from Oxegen 2004, and why it was of my friend Gareth in a car. The answer is that I spent the majority of the day searching for lost friends and the rest of it trying to escape a  heaving mosh pit.
