Hiring a car or relying on public transport  isn’t really an option in most Pacific nations. Roads can deteriorate quickly, signage is often non-existent and bus timetables are improvised at best. The best bet for exploration is a ’round island tour’. What makes these different from tours elsewhere is the spontaneous philosophy of the guide.

When queried about the different destinations I’d be visiting on this trip,  “Vanuatu” always spawned expressions of great puzzlement. “Where is Vanuatu?” I’d be asked time and again. Even my Brother Craig, who would end up travelling there with me, was clueless to it’s existence prior to planning.
