At first Barbados looked like Bedrock. Construction was everywhere, roads had massive potholes and each building, wall and footpath looked to be crumbling apart. Hardly what the brochures had advertised, I thought! I was wrong. Barbados may have been imperfect, but soon I’d discover the antithesis: perfect beaches, lush countryside and laid back, reggae listening locals.
